Stephen Sydney DeWolfe passed away at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre on February 17, 2026.
Born on October 20, 1947, in Advocate, Nova Scotia, Stephen was the beloved son of the late Burton Charles DeWolfe and Phyllis Nina Lewis.
He carried with him throughout his life the values of kindness, loyalty, and quiet strength that reflected his upbringing and the love of his family.
Stephen will be greatly missed by his children Tina, Dave, and Robyn, all of Moncton, New Brunswick. He was a proud grandfather to Eric, Megan, Chris, Chad, Chelsea, and Jorden, and a cherished great-grandfather to Lilly, Ella, Metz Lee, and Mack. His family was the center of his world, and he took deep joy in watching each generation grow.
He will also be lovingly remembered by his long-time friend of 57 years, Margaret Sterling (Ray), whose enduring friendship meant so much to him.
Stephen is survived by his two sisters, Rachael Wheaton and Susan Graham of Nova Scotia, as well as many nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the caring and professional staff on Floor 3A at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre for their compassion and dedicated care.
In memory of Stephen S. DeWolfe, donations to the charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
