It is not just British Columbia, though. Much of #Drax pellet comes from SE USA, provided by other suppliers - like Enviva. #Sustainability standards on this supply are not guaranteed with concerns raised about ecologically sensitive forests being felled for pellets. Oh dear...

Forestry workers don't like mixed age, mixed species (naturalised) forests - wild wood is not always straight and unblemished so counts as waste in some people's eyes. It is not waste in #Drax definitions of bark, trimmings and brash. It is not waste in any common sense definition either.
