The head of #ElectionsCanada, #StรฉphanePerrault, told the committee last week that he's open to rule changes.
One suggestion is to require that the 100 signatures for each candidate must be unique, which would make it much harder for the group to get dozens of candidates on the ballot.

The group's tactic is to find dozens of Independent candidates to run in a single riding, forcing #ElectionsCanada to print nearly metre-long ballots.
Most recently, over 90 candidates ran in Pierre #Poilievre's former riding of #Carleton during the last federal election.
