I respect Chris and their work but women’s sports also needs to acknowledge trans women and nonbinary people as well. I recommended Trans Family Support Services previously to the commissioner as a resource for guiding this topic as an organization that specializes in education, activism, and policy. I would appreciate circling back. I explained to the commissioner that this is an advocacy piece I have worked on for years in local government agencies In San Diego, and being a nonbinary person who covers the NWSL as well as being fan it is very personal and important to me. I hope to see more from the league soon.
