Been working on making some homemade recycled paper the past few days. I got into paper making last spring (and apparently it's a spring time activity for me). It's a lot of fun!! More tedious crafts for Topsy. #papermaking
Thick pulpy paper handmade with different colored pulp in stripes resembling a simple landscape. Two dried flowers were pressed into the paper before the drying process. Later, dried leaves of an old succulent were adhered to create a “grassy field” feel and a copper gold leaf covers areas at the bottom and makes floaty details throughout
I keep forgetting to post this detail photo of the handmade paper with pressed flowers.

My most recent cast of this head. The first two casts came out with more texture and less detail than I would like. I use pulp for casting because I like the texture it brings; it has a skin-like quality.

I left some native seed pulp in my partner's studio for a couple days & when I came back it was all growing! as my technique improved & I got better equipment, I did the same thing again w/the sheets in the beginner gardener's bundle
a mistake that ended up working out really well!
