Garðar BA 64, the oldest steel ship in Iceland was completed in 1912 in Norway. Originally used as a whaling ship, it set out the same year the Titanic sank. The reinforced steel hull was engineered to ensure that the fierce ship would be able to ram through the icy waters of the North Atlantic and Arctic Oceans.
