🚨 UPDATE on #BNO campaign: The Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood today stated that the new B2 English language requirement for settlement will go into effect from 26 March 2027, a year later than proposed. This is a positive step forward for over 50% of BNOs due to apply for settled status by 2027.
Yesterday, Hong Kong Watch sent this two-pager to 100 🇬🇧 MPs. It covers our #BNO survey, which found only 12% of BNO visa holders can pass the proposed settlement requirements.
We encourage all MPs to speak out and urge the government to keep its promises to BNOs.

I am glad to see the UK government finally allows HK youth to apply for BN(O) visa by themselves, which is what our AO campaigned for since we set up. On the other hand, political prisoners like Jimmy Lai remained unreleased, it made me disappointed. UK government should do more. #HongKong #BNO
