The expansion of the #BNO scheme will go into effect on 8 April 2026.

The change means that adult children of #BNO passport holders born after 1 July 1979 will be able to access the visa scheme & reunite with their families in the #UK . #HongKong

🚨 UPDATE on #BNO campaign: The Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood today stated that the new B2 English language requirement for settlement will go into effect from 26 March 2027, a year later than proposed. This is a positive step forward for over 50% of BNOs due to apply for settled status by 2027.

I am glad to see the UK government finally allows HK youth to apply for BN(O) visa by themselves, which is what our AO campaigned for since we set up. On the other hand, political prisoners like Jimmy Lai remained unreleased, it made me disappointed. UK government should do more. #HongKong #BNO
