Today while waiting for my son (who was at an event for 6.5 hours) I varied my location between a pub, a coffee shop and a library, reading my book and doing #SystemticReview search redos (with all the admin that comes with this). Perfect activities! #GentleJanuary #Day25

This evening I got to see my children (and their friends) in their school show. It was so much fun to watch - a really good production, and great to see how they’ve progressed. Also a weird step as a parent as they have both not come home with us, going off to sleepovers. #GentleJanuary #Day23

This evening my daughter and I have been sewing on press-studs to her too big dress for the school show tomorrow, to make quick costume changes easier (replacing safety pins!).
She sewed them on perfectly earlier, but in the wrong place! Practice makes perfect. Or sufficient.

Today (yesterday now) I painted nails for the 1st time in years-my daughter’s (for the school show), not mine.

Today was very busy. One of the things I did was clearing out a kitchen cupboard which I’ve gradually filled with stuff over the years. I got rid of quite a bit, cleaned loads of hair bands, hair clips, coins and safety pins, and found a better location for non-kitchen stuff #GentleJanuary #Day18

Today (yesterday officially) I made multiple meals in big pans. Starting with pancakes for breakfast, and ending with Lentil and potato stop for dinner, which I haven’t made for years. It’s good to have things in the fridge/freezer for another time. #GentleJanuary #Day17

Today I heard that the slides will be shared so there’s no need to take notes, & took notes with pleasure, that my daughter then photographed & shared with her friends. For me there’s always value in taking notes, even if I don’t look back at them, because I love taking notes #GentleJanuary #Day12
