I was weeding & saw what I thought was a tiny seashell, which I have found on occasion in my desert wanderings. And stuck it in my pocket to look at with my glasses on. 😹 Turns out this is more likely a nut shell. Very smol.

a tiny bare patch of dirt next to a driveway and a very green joshua tree from which the tall mustard weeds and assorted invasive species of grass and more weeds have been removed . I grabbed them by the silky roots and short hairs to prevent as much regrowth as possible . after numerous interruptions , i stopped to fight again another day

What's up? Weeds & grass - about 3-4x what they got last year or so everybody's told me. We've gotten almost an inch of rain this year so far. We got a healthy amount in the last quarter of last year, too. The joshua trees are fairly happy and green. The weeds/grass are 💀👻
