My winter tires are at end of life (starting to get slow leaks from tiny punctures from the studs poking back through), but considering I got them in 2018 I'm resigned that they've had a good life and am using tape inside and carrying a small pump to get through these last few weeks.

Nice to know the city maintains a level of mediocrity for Winter Cycling Network snow clearing.
Once again, the plow driver seems to not know west of IPD exists. As well as the stupid angles at Northwestern, where they just drove over the curb. 🤦🏼

I biked over to check out the new Almanac location on Beech St (it’s great! You should check it out) and there were zero cars parked along Wellington St in Hintonburg.
For a brief moment, I experienced the future of bike lanes on Wellington’s and it was wonderful. #ottbike

Huh, so the NCC is putting bike lanes on QE Dr and CB Dr, to supplement the overburdened MUPs. The catch? Summer only, and worse, unidirectional: QE Dr for northbound, CB Dr for southbound. #ottbike

Beware Scott EB bike lane users: the sign post on Scott SW corner at Clifton is now leaning at a 45° angle, at about shoulder height, and impeding on the bike lane space a bit.
If you're too far left, you'll probs hit it.

In case anyone was wondering if the Hampton Park pathway is clear…it is clear save for a few puddles and still quite narrow. But it is does end in this snow bank. #ottbike #ottbiketraffic

Snowbanks were removed on Armstrong in the past 24 hours, and there are some REALLY bad patches of thick snirt now. Like, horizontal snowbanks instead of vertical.
