We finished off the night with a couple of cocktails at a bar near the hotel, and the manager insisted we had a brandy with him before we left.
All in all, an awesome final evening in Paris!

There was a photographer going round, we bought a couple of the photos he took of us as a memento.
A young couple who got engaged on the boat were dithering over their photos, so Rob stepped in and paid for one of theirs as a congratulations gift. 🥰 He’s a romantic sod.

After a trip to the top deck, we went back for dessert and noticed that our champagne glasses were empty. Turns out the elderly Mexican couple next to us had mistakenly sat at our table and finished our drinks! They apologised and refilled our glasses for us, no big deal, kinda funny. #RABOT

For mains I had veal and Rob had beef, followed by the cheese course which was the only disappointing part of the meal (just some smoked cheese and a small piece of Brie with some sour cherries, no bread or crackers).

We had champagne, of course, along with an amuse bouche, and to start I ordered… frog’s legs. I saw them on the menu and I figured, when in Paris… 🤷🏻♂️ Honestly, very nice. If I didn’t know what they were I’d have guessed they were some small bird like quail or something. Rob had lobster.

For our last night in Paris, I booked a dinner cruise on the Seine. This was a really lovely experience, fine dining with an ever changing view of some famous landmarks, culminating in the Eiffel Tower doing its sparkly thing. ✨

There’s a cute creperie opposite our hotel we wanted to visit but it’s only open 12:00-14:00 and 19:00-21:00 and we haven’t been anywhere near during those hours.
We are tonight, but we’re heading out for dinner on the seine soooo don’t really want a crepe right now.

I booked the Eiffel Tower near sunset hoping for good weather, and we were lucky!

Leisurely day today, we were both a bit delicate this morning so we had a late breakfast and took the batobus to explore Isle de la Cité, had a fancy croque monsieur for lunch, then headed back to the Eiffel Tower.

We had planned to go to the catacombs today but I just went online to book tickets and… it’s closed for renovations until spring. 😖
So now we’re gonna go to Notre Dame and then Père Lachaise cemetery, then maybe have a wander around Montmartre before the Eiffel Tower this afternoon. #RABOT

Gaga was incredible, such a good show, danced my feet to bloody stumps. Didn’t get any photos cos I was enjoying it live, but my mate basically recorded the entire thing so I’ll get his footage later. 😆

That was incredible! Well worth the money if you’re ever in Paris.
Honestly, the male dancers were mostly meh, but the women were amazing, and the two male gymnasts… 🥵
I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many boobs. Shame the men weren’t so scantily clad…
