Nancy, thank you so much for reading and sharing! This made my day ❤️
✨book update✨ I won an IPPY, which means I am equally parts humbled, shocked, and so excited that I will finally have a real-life gold medal I can wear nonchalantly in the privacy of my home.
Forever grateful to @univnebpress.bsky.social and @court8961.bsky.social for making this book a reality.
Wonderful! Thank you so much ❤️ I’ll keep my eye out for it!

Been out for a minute, but came back to celebrate the launch of my FIRST BOOK (Thank You for Staying with Me, @univnebpress.bsky.social), an amazing AWP, and a lovely conversation regarding maternal health with Jennie Case over at @oxfordamerican.bsky.social.

Omg Patricia, this made my day! It was so lovely to finally meet you ❤️❤️❤️
One of the highlights of AWP: hearing @baileygaylinmoore.bsky.social read from her new book of essays, and friends @jacqdoyle.bsky.social and @gfaulknerwriter.bsky.social read from Past Ten's anthology. Today, I returned to my own Past Ten essay -- feeling proud!

"I realized that the biggest overarching theme was ontology . . . I think foundationally, that’s what all writers are trying to figure out," writes @baileygaylinmoore.bsky.social, author of THANK YOU FOR STAYING WITH ME in an interview with @thesunlightpress.bsky.social.
Oh, Aarik—thank you so much for reading with such tenderness and care. Our home is complicated, beautiful, and hard. I appreciate you ❤️
So thrilled to be in this conversation over at @oxfordamerican.bsky.social ❤️❤️❤️ I can’t speak highly enough of Jennie Case and her book, We Are Animals.
Was sent this earlier last week—thanks so much for words, @aarikdanielsen.bsky.social!!

Had a blast talking to @anniescholl.bsky.social about my new collection of essays, Thank You for Staying with Me. If you’re looking for a book that talks philosophy, cosmology, and navigates motherhood and mental health, you can still pre-order here:

I had so much fun talking shop (Staedtler pens and @moleskine) with
Elizabeth Austin. This interview series is softcore pornography from writers—highly recommend 💜

Thank you for making space for this piece ❤️
Grateful for @allisonkwilliams.bsky.social and @dintywmoore.bsky.social for making space for a reflection on relevance and resilience.
My upcoming collection has a section navigating how to mourn a nation, written between 2016-2020. After Biden took office, I worried these essays had become dated and struggled with whether I should include them in the book. Unfortunately, my biggest fear happened: the essays became relevant again.
This fragmented [perhaps prismatic] essay means a lot to me. Thanks to @theforge.bsky.social & @saracrowley.bsky.social for selecting it as a finalist for their flash cnf competition. "I turn my head like I’m missing something. I feel that I am always missing something." shorturl.at/QlCau
