Officially passed my Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (with distinction)!

So now I just need to go investigate a mysterious outbreak somewhere, and report back to the colonial government why labour productivity has decreased.

Sometimes I wonder if it’s actually possible to be a clinician-scientist, particularly in a developing country like South Africa. When should one just make the call and attempt to go all in on science or medicine? And at what point does it become a sunk-cost fallacy?
