I don't often post about my work but bughunters.google.com/blog/6355265... is actually super cool thing my team is doing. These short term redteams focused on just stealing our passwords were always amazing to highlight how severely broken complex systems are. The internal writeups are so, so fun!
The first prompt on the big half-sheet popup is "connecting... a bluetooth device needs further information for connecting to the network", and then normal notifications: "automatically filling out the password... click here to share a saved password with the nearby Apple TV"
Or maybe i accidentally put my apple tv in my backpack this morning?
Wow, I'm getting these apple TV password sharing prompts on the Budapest metro, someone is having fun
I think this part is way more important than the headline: "prohibiting Google from offering money or anything of value to third parties — including Apple and other phone-makers — to make Google’s search engine the default". This is how e.g. Firefox makes money today.
