One of the things I keep seeing is this "ai is here and it's not going away" and like, why not? Where will the ai live when the data center money dries up? When the models stop getting better because no one is making new ones. Will it not simply wither on the vine?
A lot of the "ai should do this" conversations feel like an engineering or physics major being introduced to a social problem they don't understand.
