I have spent the past several months studying the cutting-edge research on modern democracies that have defeated authoritarian leaders.
I've learned that the conventional wisdom on the topic is wrong — in ways that have clear implications for the US going forward

We had 1000-1500 people in the maths classes at uni. Bi-weekly homework assignments, 80% or higher score required to be admitted for final exam. All offline. Yes they had one TA for every ~50 students, yes there was sharing of solutions, but in the end somehow everyone learned enough
I disagree, at least on the political topics side. Today's 14-16 year olds can and should absolutely learn about how social media can be used to shape public opinion. I'll leave it to the chem teacher to select an appropriate reaction, but even crystal growth from saturated solution could work
From there, it's a short step to democracy under attack, foreign influencers/bots attempting to manipulate elections, conspiracy theories, radicalization of young adults through social media
How about autocatalytic reactions? Could be an interesting take on how relatively few actors can shape public opinions in our age of social media algorithms

And if he's driving a reasonably modern car that will also have a mobile phone sim inside to send telemetry around and/or provide connectivity
Elon has also historically claimed lots of things to be under production or for release this year that failed to materialize. I'll remain extremely skeptical until one of these actually hits a battery test lab
High in claims, low in substance. Don't get me wrong, I wish for this to be true. But most likely a mixture of overpromising with a dash of omitting more subtle technical differences. Excited for independent tests of this 'battery'. Might actually be a supercapacitor in disguise.
I can count the days I've been driving in the past two years on two hands. Less than 50 days where I've been driving myself in the past 5 years. All related to vacation by the way, I have zero use for a car in everyday life
