Ashleigh is a reclusive Pacific Northwest author with the charm of a chloroform-laced handkerchief and the bite of a poisoned quill. I don’t tell the whole story—I write tales where love gets messy and murder never wipes its feet. ashleighwritesbooks.com

Possibly. I have thoughts.
Unrelated question- how many books are in the Young Wizards series now? I am not certain if I am current in my completionist OCD. 😳

Beef is the one flesh we don’t have in our home. Long history, but in beloved spouse’s first pregnancy there was a housemate who lived on beef ramen. It was an instant morning sickness trigger for her. The association remains 44 years later. 😳

Typos. The bane of my existence. Why, when this iPhone is constantly turning predictive text back on after I disable it, is it still unable to note and remedy a simple typographical error like “U” instead of “I”?

Accidental or no, it’s a marvelous idea that I would never have thought of myself. And it’s also a method that I might be able to use and actually be able to eat meat again (taste/texture issues + post roux en y.)

Accurate. Most people don’t understand that even basic spellcheck is an AI process, yet it can be disabled and/or modified by the user to be more useful in the task at hand. That’s not my objection. It’s the complete generative AI integration taking over. CoPilot’s “rewrite” for example.

Tha's an amazing piece. It makes me think of the Cwn Annwn (or "Hounds of Annwn," the spectral dogs from Welsh mythology associated with the Underworld (Annwn) and the Wild Hunt.) Except yours don't have the red ears.

That's the typical MS advancement path. Stay any longer in one position/group and you are not "career-orieinted."
Quoth the spouse of a MS alumni, who was formerly in the hierachy of what used to be "Microsoft Press" until they RIF'd the entire division.

I mean, seriously, at ths point? I'm not only looking for non-AI-infected tools for writing and publishing but am actively avoiding platforms that enable it by defalt if I am unable to disable it.
(And I absolutelhy loathe that I am more or less forced to engage with Meta & Alphabet.)

Well, that drags teeth.
It's bad enough that Microsoft has shoved its AI cock down the throat of every product that used to be flagship and made them unreliable and unusable for serious professionals. Now they are sinking the only remaining useful platform remaining from the glory days.

Because it is anything but Justice.
Hmm. DOJ running out of attorneys. Like rats off a sinking ship.
Aha - it's the sinking of the Department of Juicitania?

Feeling gutted by the news of Robert Duvall's passing. So many of his film roles are iconic in my memory.
But the ones I remember best are Frank Burns and Tom Hagen.

Question for you, as I'm looking how best to market print for my forthcoming trilogy. How distributable is Amazon to libraries and independent booksellers? I'm currently leaning towards Draft2Digital for mine for their Ingram catalog access.

GAH! I hate it when I see the typos that slipped through after reading my post several times attempting to ensure my spelling was correct.
sigh.
It's worse when I make such a comment about typos and then the comment has them as well. 😂
