Our founder, Scott, would like to discuss the recent situation that happened on RetroAchievements as well as the measures we will be taking going forward to ensure a healthy, welcoming community for all enjoyers of retro games and achievements.

They have been banned instantly after the dox. We take doxxing very seriously, and this is known to everyone.
Our moderation is not public so it may look like we haven't addressed this, but reassuredly, we have taken appropriate action π
tietuesday was not muted. It was their first forum post, meaning it needed to be manually verified before the comments would show up to everyone. This is a manual process that applies to every user on RetroAchievements.
Assuredly I and the team have been non-stop at work to take care of users breaking the Code of Conduct, but yeah like you said, it's basically whack-a-mole.
We are working to the best of our capability to get rid of the bigotry and return RA to the safe haven we all want it to be π
Of course this will (understandably) give the idea that we banned the account for voicing against the policy. Rest assured, this was not the case, and I'm happy to remedy this.
I see what has happened now. I was away yesterday so I don't exactly know what the posts contained, but we have a verification system for forum posts for all first posts of an account, that is very strict on new accounts with no play data, which marked the account as spam that we need to review.
In regards to other users that should rightfully be taken action against, we are currently looking through the threads and game wall comments entirely and discussing them. Obviously this won't be made public, but we are taking comments seriously.
Hi! I can confirm nobody was banned for speaking up against the policy, nor muted. Only one user was banned who wished the entire mod team to die, which is a clear CoC violation. I can disprove any claims made by users that they were muted, or banned, just for voicing their concerns.
In short:
- PCSX2 Stable can no longer be used for hardcore achievements. It can only be used again when the next version drops, which is 2.5
- PCSX2 Nightly must be updated to version 2.5.162 or above to earn Hardcore achievements
Indeed it is I :D
It is available on Spotify as well, but I'm not aware of it being on any other platforms
I need to continue working on my ''games played in 2025'' list over on Infinite Backlog, I've somehow beaten 6 games since I've last made a post...
I'm doing great on the playing side but slacking on the updating side, oops
My very first one was Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite! back in 2015 on an older account. Yep, big shocker, Nepiki started with a Hamtaro game but hey, they're great games!
As a bonus, on this account it's the ROM hack PokΓ©mon Glazed. Wanted to return to RA with hacks :D

I had a headstart, was already at 8 points before it started due to previous credit π But not much more to go!
Had a pretty productive evening yesterday; cleaned up the final achievements for Rumble Racing (now on 14 points for the Formula 1 event), and made progress on my Steam ABC through Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara!
Wish I was always this productive π
It always kinda sucks when you find a neat new (modern) game that has cool speedrunning tricks and online leaderboards, but they're all heavily cheated. Kinda removes the fun of trying to become better :/
Obviously still getting as fast records as possible but purely for my own entertainment
Did a bit of a clean-up these past few days to ensure the amount of games I'm playing at once is below 5 again; it's at 4 right now actually, with Rumble Racing being the one to take care of next. Mastered a random Super Mario World hack and beat Scribblenauts DS so good progress all around :)
Mastery #188 - GTA Advance
Had this game since my childhood but never beaten it, let alone 100% completed. For GBA standards it's a pretty solid game, and also fairly easy to complete, only took like 15 hours.
It has only been 10 days since this account has been created, and we have already amassed over 1,000 followers! Thank you all so much for your support, and we will ensure that you will always be updated through this platform in the future!
Got 100% on both Journey to the Savage Planet and the DLC! Great experience, was hoping to write a review right away but ended up being completely unmotivated so that will have to wait a bit longer.
Letter J of my Steam ABC challenge is done, up next is Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara!
Journey to the Savage Planet beaten, and it was a great experience! Will be going more in-depth soon, but still have the ''Hot Garbage'' DLC to play through, which will be happening tomorrow. 15 hours for in-game completion, so pretty good length too.
Beeriki Review #3 - Avalanche
In terms of the Quadrupel flavour (heavy alcohol), it's in the middle; nothing crazy, but it also meets my expectations, which is satisfactory. Overall a 3.75/5
Not until my current requests are fulfilled :)
Surviving 10 in-game hours on 6-star wanted level in GTA Advance be like
Free points wee
I was planning to continue the F1 Racing event tonight but then came to the realization I didn't have a totally-legit copy of Rumble Racing on my Steam Deck... while I was already cozy under my blanket on the sofa.
Sooo Steam ABC continuation it is, playing Journey to the Savage Planet :D
Got the beat on GTA Advance now, the final missions went by way faster than I had imagined. I *think* the mafia should leave me alone now so I can safely explore the city without being shot at every street corner π€
My main annoyance with GTA Advance (noticed this even more after doing a mission that gave me 100k cash), is that the entire game focuses on earning money but there is... almost nothing to spend money on...?
I will make a big deal out of this even if nobody will care π
Mastery #187: Cartoon Network Racing
Played this primarily for the current F1 Racing event over at RetroAchievements, and it's uh... I hate using the word but this literally is the most mid a kart racer can be. Alright stage design, too many overpowered weapons, and no real fun racing mechanics.
