A young female pūtangitangi/Paradise shelduck is on a pier. She's got a coming white head and it looks almost like the colour is draining down her neck (she'll end up with a tidy white/brown line like our Rita and Ngaire.

We also got a hell of a show from Cookie the cockatoo in the aviaries.

What a cutie!! Yes she and Big Ted will definitely be able to bowl around together haha, bless. Hopefully the jack Russell energy tempers a bit as she grows haha

Isn't she such a little princess 😂😂👑 when I realised she turned up every single time I was photographing my outfits I gave her a photoshoot of her very own 🥹

The older ones are the best ones, waaaay easier to get along with than the new ones and generally fully steel so basically bombproof. Worth keeping an eye out because they often go cheap and the Internet is full of experts posting how to service them 😀😀 you'll be away laughing.

I'm wearing a blue top with palm trees all over it. It has a front yoke which curves away over my shoulders and the shirt front [back] and sleeves are gathered into it.

Reverse view, you can see the yoke is curved at the back too. There's a traditional collar with stand.

Finished my #fibremoodcaren shirt and sure enough it's a new fave. Well worth allllll that gathering (MUCH, much gathering). Lovely covered placket and slit sleeves.
I sized up in the yoke because I have broad shoulders, so that's worth keeping in mind if any other broad shouldered folk make it!

Closeups of the twill and French terry. The French terry has a project but the viscose I had the weight wrong in my mind. So I think it'll be a shirt or maybe a dress? Feel like it'd crinkle if I sat on it though. Probably a shirt.

I'm listening to Once There Were Wolves by Charlotte McConaghy and that is beautiful, in the tradition of Charlotte McConaghy. Reading Skippy Dies by Paul Murray and that's super long. Might just tackle part/book 1 depending how it goes. Boarding school antics but modern.

I'm standing on a stone bridge wearing a T-shirt which has a long sleeve and a short sleeve, both grown on.

I'm putting my arms up so you can see the difference in sleeve length but also that I kind of look like a stingray

Finished my #fibremoodkornelia asymmetrical tshirt and she's very fun. I'm ~ out of my Takashi rayon knit dotty fabric from Draper's finally, and I love my little army of polkadot tshirts.
Fibre Mood delivers a straightforward sew with a great payoff again! I look like a stingray, but wearably 😂
