Once I found out it’s based on a TTRPG universe from the 80s, the world finally started making sense

The maps aren’t big but they’re very DENSE, with a lot to learn about them still. They’re very multilayered and intricate. Sometimes in the heat of action I still get lost in the hauler, or AI uplink’s catacombs. Also, the amount of details is insane, the environmental storytelling is superb, etc

“Fetch quests”, like the one where you need to get on the drop ship while it’s in the air and hack it to make it explode, or the one where you need to poison yourself, or the one where you need to graffiti tag several locations, or the one where you need to fight a mini boss, or …

I thought that your position being not visible on the map when playing as rook was a feature, not a bug!.. Anyway, those are all nice improvements, but it’d be so cool if they’d also increased uesc aggressiveness

Thankfully, that’s not true, and the new Marathon also has a very rich, deep multi-sided narrative, and it treats the original lore with respect. Although, there’s a mystery whether a couple of things got retconned, or are they the way they are due to the timeline shenanigans in Marathon Infinity

How’s it solo? I feel like it’s pretty much impossible with a free kit, but if you go in loaded you have an okay chance, but it’s still very tough

Yeah, AI needs to be harder (more aggressive), but TTK is perfect imo. Maybe it can be made only just a tiny tiny minuscule bit shorter
