I fucking hate that two gigantic festivals have swallowed up the live performance scene for acts visiting Austin. Any time a show I'm excited about comes to Austin it's 90% SXSW or ACL. "Yeah, we're coming to your town, but you gotta contend with festival pricing AND festival traffic!"
Every war since WW1 has had generals and pundits who will claim that bombing is the only weapon we need. Every advance in aircraft or bomb technology has them saying this time it'll work, this time the tech is ready to be the only weapon.
It's never worked, not one time.
