What to do today in Montreal πΉ
Oh that happens literally every day lol
βCanada would be wise to break with U.S. foreign policy. Jean ChrΓ©tien did that with the war in Iraq, and we were commended for it. Canada is known for diplomacy, and we take pride in having invented peacekeeping. We neither negotiate with nor support terrorists, even if they live next door.β
βLetβs be clear: There is no private sector solution to the housing crisis. Our society no longer considers housing a right, but a privilege, and as such, the private sector is only going to prioritize high-end housing.β
βBuilding more luxury homes doesnβt create more affordable housing.β

You then said that NDP voters βarenβt truly left.β
I can guarantee that we agree on virtually all things ideologically.
Perhaps this was all a miscommunication. But Iβm going to leave this now.
Have a great day.
You stated that it was proof that the βLiberals and Conservatives are interchangeable.β
You stated this because you didnβt read the data that clearly shows that Liberals AND NDP voters approve of the prime minister, while Conservatives largely do not.
You then replied with, βThatβs disappointing.β
βInspired by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlettβs trip to India, this is the most conceptually coherent and ambitious Gorillaz album in 16 years.β

Gorillaz,Β The Mountain: REVIEW
Your argument literally makes no sense. And if you followed our Covid coverage, you would have known we would never do that.
Take care.
Hey, you tried to spread disinformation and got called out. Next time actually look at the data.
Have a great day.
You asked why I said βso-called,β so I answered. Thatβs not even what this conversation is about lol
The Liberals are a centrist party. They appeal to the large majority of Canadians in the βmiddle.β Itβs not entirely surprising why centrists may seem left-leaning considering how Conservatives now tolerate the alt-right ideologically.
Because left and right are artificial constructs designed to divide people. Not everyone on the left is pro-choice and not everyone on the right is anti-science. So yeah, adding βso-calledβ feels appropriate at a time when common sense & empathy are being attacked due to social media disinformation.
I can guarantee you that anyone still voting for the NDP at this point thinks of themselves as βtruly left.β
On that point, you would be correct. But to imply that Carney is actually popular among Conservatives the way many on the so-called left would have you believe is literally disinformation. In the same way that itβs disinformation when the right labels him a βcommunist.β
59% of NDP voters approve of Mark Carney, compared to only 37% of Conservatives. π€·
Thatβs disinformation.
Carney is not βpopularβ among Conservatives.
His approval rating is significantly higher among NDP voters (59%) than among Conservatives (37%).

βOf course, Jessie Buckley is up to the impossible challenges of embodying the roles of Ida, Penny/The Bride and Mary Shelley, and playing a character that feels fundamentally broken.β
