p.s. maybe like 90% likely we’re the first furries here, this is a “popular” western Antarctica destination for expeditions. There’s both British and American setups here because it was one of the few entryways into the mainland before the land bridge collapsed.

Unfortunately the weather wasn’t stable enough for us to land at Detaille Island, so we instead spent a few hours on the Zodiac boats cruising around. I didn’t get any shots of it, but a very curious whale hung around inspecting us for a good while. :3 They even came close enough to touch!
