Ultimately, my folks didn't have to "teach" me about dating because my raising set the baseline.
I'm sure there were some specific conversations I don't remember now... but generally it was treated as a natural part / progression of life.
I'm a firm believer in following the kid's lead.
No need to encourage/ push if they're not interested yet, but if they're precocious in that area (🙋🏽♀️), guidance is better than restriction. Can't act like life isn't happening.

Not "taught" per se, but definitely allowed. The teaching piece was more about making sure I was treated well, discovering what I liked, etc.
Overall, there weren't a bunch of weird rules about boys. And I leaned towards serial monogamy vs having a rotation. That came much later. 😄
