Welcome to the team, Benji!
Hiya! I am excited to announce that I am now the inaugural South Bay regional writer for @buildsd.org, which focuses on documenting development in San Diego.
If you're interested, you can read my debut journal article here covering the planned Chula Vista University! buildsd.org/journal/chul...
There are actually more bus lanes in san diego that do not count, namely the 225 in otay ranch, because of frequency
We detail in our "what counts and why" bus lane segments count and why, recommend checking it out.
The majority is due to bus lanes on El Cajon Blvd and University (mostly 1 direction) and helped out by the bus lanes on Park and the SR-15 at each ends.

Looking into it, the land was for sale a little while ago, so likely a new buyer has plans for the property. I'll check for permits.
As of now Complete Communites only applies to rentals. That is being changed right now but can almost guarantee rentals.
Build SD has a new writer, Mitchell's first article is on Quince in Bankers Hill.
Quince is a 17 story high rise under construction at the end of Maple Canyon. Only possible with Complete Communites zoning it is a very unique building.
Find out more about it below!!!!

I was at their most recent meeting. They are nearly done with permitting, it seems. Its a great project, and being mixed rate, and mostly 60%ami and up, it is a great change for the area. Also the density is amazing and shows we can build affordable housing tall with some ambition.
A 126-unit affordable housing project at SDSU West has been funded and will break ground soon. Adjacent to the first residential project, SDSU Mission Valley is coming together with Chelsea building this project.
Check it out!

New location confirmed: maps.app.goo.gl/jcXQeytY2Jke...
Unfortunately, due to unforseen circumstances, we are having to relocate the Transit Month kick-off on September 1st. We are now looking to hold it at Market on 8th in National City (same location as Crayoning Night).
We are double-checking with their team now. Stay tuned for updates.

My story on San Diego's plan for single-family zoning near its $2 billion trolley extension has been the top story on our website for close to 24 hours now! Thanks to all who have read and shared ๐๐๏ธ๐ www.kpbs.org/news/local/2...
