A video about screws.
Another 3dprinting design optimized for TPU 3dprinting!

The Crafsman is possibly the most chill feel-good YouTube channel I watch. So you bet I was interested in his take on AI.
youtu.be/CC7dmomiVuo?...
So much has changed since my last video. When I return, I plan to add a "No AI" disclosure.
I can't control what YouTube does post-upload, but my own designs, thumbnails, videos, scripts, & captions are not produced by GenAI. To the extent I can verify, any background music I use will be the same.
I confess that, when I started the #RepRap Project, I didn't anticipate that it would be a significant technology in non-violent protest against fascism in the USA.
Nobody teaches that. You should add it to your list.
It's important to understand that when the CDC recommended removing Thimerosal from the routine vaccination schedule, it wasn't due to strong evidence linking it to autism.
It was closer to a tactical concession to anti-vaccine sentiment. Remove the preservative to increase trust.
This backfired.
Albert Einstein only recently became too young to apply for a driver's permit.
It's certainly a curious way to view historical figures.
I could see someone building a "reciprocating modulus age" calculator so you could find out which ancient philosophers are old enough to drink again.

I started this shelf project about 6 months ago when I moved into my apartment. I developed a parametric dowel rod connector system to build it then I had the hardest time motivating myself to finish it. I had to problem solve since I built it with basic tools and my Mk4/Core One printing 6+kg PETG
88 gamers got assistive devices FOR FREE through thecontrollerproject.com either directly from me or through one of the amazing volunteers around the world.
thanks to @prusa3d.com for his support with reliable 3d printers and to @cookiecad.com for beautiful filament to make these look amazing.
I saw we're doing 2016 throwbacks. On this day 10 years ago, I was making the first prints on a Mendel 90 we built for the "How to build a RepRap 3D printer" class I taught at the Dallas Makerspace. I would have never guessed I'd be making a living working on 3D printers founded by RepRap today.
Not only a perfect denouement, it was the end of an era. Thirty years ago today, this strip was published.
The multimaterial 3D printed gasket mechanism used in my braille and pop fidgets has made its was into another practical design!
My final paper from my postdoc with @trevorrife.bsky.social is out! If you've ever manually counted or sorted seeds, sampled tissue with a hole punch, filled tubes or plates with beads/seeds this is for you!

#TodaysMomentOfAwesome Reflecting on the 1st half of 25-26 I keep coming back to "The correct analogy of the human mind is not a vessel to be filled but a fire to be kindled, the sparking of which produces an impulse toward original thought & an ardent desire for Truth." --Plutarch

If the first 3 seconds of a video has a voice-over in generic 3rd person past tense ("The man placed a $20 bill in his shoe"), that video is an instant down vote and skip.
One might think the YouTube algorithm would learn I treat AI slop the same way a cat handles tape clinging to its back paw.
Another mathematical model! π
"Conic Sections Cone" shows a hyperbola, parabola, ellipse, and circle formed by planes cutting a cone. Both nappes of the cone together illustrates the two branches of a hyperbola.
Now at Cults3D. More in comments.

Have you ever had a spool of PLA filament that snap in your hand like uncooked spaghetti? Or perhaps the filament broke inside the PTFE tube? Why does this happen, and how can it be avoided?

I hate getting stuff packaged in wasteful styrofoam packing blocks... but if you ever have a project that would be instantly solved with the stuff, it's nowhere to be found.
"Unit Circle Triangles & Tray" now at Cults3D. π
I made worksheets too that fit the triangles perfectly. My colleagues are eager to use these in upcoming lessons and I've been printing class sets of triangles in Jessie PLA.

That sounds about right. It means the entire industry is moving forward and improving, which is a good thing.
If the CORE One L comes with INDX variant, you've got a sale! Maybe two so I can put one on either side of the XL.
Do I need another 3D printer?
No.
Do I have room for another 3D printer?
No.
Am I eagerly waiting and hoping for a preorder announcement from Prusa?
You bet!
Especially since the silver bar is merely 0.999% pure, while the gold bar is, uh, I donβt know how to interpret that commaβ¦ 999.9% pure?
I have the same cynicism every time I check unit prices while grocery shopping.
It's insulting when a "buy one get one free" deal is placed right next to a larger regularly priced box of the same brand which costs less per ounce than the "deal".
It's a tax on those too frazzled to math.
Lucky for that light, its perception of those nippy 8 minutes was basically instantaneous.
And now Iβm wondering how temperature could even exist when traveling at the speed of light - thereβs no local time for heat to manifest, let alone be felt, right?
Think big, print big! Meet the Prusa CORE One L, β¨ our new large-format CoreXY printer, just 10% bigger than CORE One yet with 200% print volume, a new convection AC heatbed for uniform heat, and a 60 Β°C chamber for confident printing in advanced materials. π¦Ύ
