At the bottom you can see some ramdom character sprites (my sona in the style of Ring Racers, a frog with a big mouth trying to eat a fly, Homer Simpson, Doomguy walking with a shotgun on their shoulder and Ana from Spelunky 2). All of these are stylized somewhat differently, doing the outlines in different ways and using more or less saturated palettes depending on the artstyle. Please remember that the kart is a sprite from the Ring Racers game and I did not make it, only used it as a base to work with!
