my hot take is despite being considered iconic I think humble by kendrick feels aged to the era it derived from, I never really was too big on the beat in high school either.
i don't really go back to it often.

Right now I'm using ROBLOX as a tool to re-learn math from the ground up by generating problems, I wrote the code myself but I accidentally discovered it.
AI has made its way into ROBLOX programming, people can generate both script comments & code now. Hoo boy.
i see how people can become alcoholics now i thought i'd never fw an alcoholic drink that much but idk
kinda tasted good in a weird way
i mean it was a pina coloda but with less of the fun stuff
blue sky needs funny people on it, it lacks funny people i don't get a giggle or a chuckle here or stay informed but it sends me less nazi / white ethnostate propaganda.
The same people cheering for dudeβs election are whining about it rn like this shit didnβt come with consequences back in 2016 and now here we go again.
Fair, fair.
I have one protest against this score, not because the content of the show, but rather implying that The French are peak.
I wasnβt ditched I just fell asleep waiting for them to get off league #lolz
Yesterday night I downloaded Marvel Rivals to play with my friends and while waiting for them I fell asleep and inflated my hours played numbers all night long, are you proud of me? #realgamershit @hithehello.bsky.social
& stating the album/protagonistβs main dilemma to come.
Listened to brutal by olivia rodgrigo again and it starts off with the violins for a more cinematic feel before the harsh cut fitting of a jagged teenager, then you get the rock more traditional of coming to age stories
At the end it still gets serious again, slowing back down-
I love tropes of cinematic albums where artists still take it into their own hands to shape their desired aesthetic for the tracks to come.
Hold up... Do I like AmaLee's cover of Glassy Sky from Tokyo Ghoul more than Donna Burke's original??? There's a part that escalates and I've listened to AmaLee's so many times that it went weird not hearing it on the original π
snake eater is such a fire track man
unorganized thoughts for later
I wish Wildflower by Billie Eilish escalated even more towards the end? Louder drums and guitars at the dead end lowkey.
wait y'all i'm stupid i'm listening to SOUR π
The reoccurring anxiety / unconfident / fearful for the future and shaky about the present idea. That slow down towards the end feels like that focus albums tend to do holding the sentiment you'll probably find throughout the rest of the album.
I think the stark drop from Olivia talking to her friends in the background into the guitars on 'brutal' it definitely gets into more modern teenage dilemmas I'm sure kids'll relate to.
Very highschool-esque vibes, I like the mic-effect on her voice. Good cinematic opening to an album for a coming-to-age-story kind of way. Also, reminds me of Paramore to a degree.
I wonder if brutal could be mashed up by The Diner by Billie Eilish.
Listening to: GUTS by olivia rodrigo for the first time.
daima 13 cements this as a silly little toriyama gag-esque show
Yeah, internet will essentially becomes nothing but cesspool of ai-generated content/users, disinformation and bots at this rateβ¦itβs over for us π
