Ixnay is just a great album in general, probably my favourite Offspring.
@va3prr
I'm queer! Big fan of cats, ham radio, *nix and FOSS, AVR microcontrollers, and loads of other tech rabbit holes. I currently hold a Basic ham license with Honours, working on my morse and advanced, and anything else radio I can get my hands on.
Ixnay is just a great album in general, probably my favourite Offspring.
Really excited to break into playing with radiosondes! I've got the development environment in order, and an alternative firmware lined up for the sonde I'll have in my hot little hands this weekend ๐ #hamradio #amateurradio

Uh oh, gonna have to start pretending to be interesting! I had a busy day, and wasn't able to check why my phone kept vibrating - can't say I expected this lol

Thanks for reminding me, I've been forgetting!
"It's not real ham radio"
Such a strange opinion. FT8's not my mode, but I love the older digital stuff like RTTY and SSTV - I'm sure those aren't real ham radio either, depending on who you ask.
For those who are unsure what the solar data figures are all about, this may get help.
Seven assorted antennas arranged to represent a popular meme. If it were an art piece, it would be called "Loss of Signal."
Oh wow, hello new followers!
Could I borrow an antenna? I appear to have lost mine
Of course, we'll pretend this experiment wasn't necessitated by accidentally ripping the SDR antenna off the coax, and the coax out of the yagi connector... but it works - and quite well!

Feeling pretty pleased with this little experiment! Using SDRangel on my phone, it's so nice to have real-time granular gain control - who needs attenuators??

A mostly dark, high contrast image of a reasonably well burning rocket stove built from three soup cans, cat litter, and some aluminum foil tape.
Taking a much needed breather after my last big idea came to fruition, looks like the rocket stove is pretty happy too
I'm a bit nervous about this, but now's as good a time as any;
Hello world, I'm non-binary!
I've been known as "Jay" until now - it would make me happier to be called "Jasmine," or "Jazz" for short.
Thanks for your time. ๐
Can you spare a few bucks to help me go back to school?

Passed the practice exam for the advanced license for the first time today, looking promising! Just need to do it consistently today #hamradio
Had to walk around for a bit (-12ยฐC, mind you) today, to see if I could hear a couple of local packet stations with a decent quarter wave whip. 3 beacons heard, good thing I bundle up! Now to get that J-pole up... #hamradio

Beautiful! Laat het ons zien als je klaar bent? <3

@kimberlymcblaze.bsky.social Great time with the PRG folks tonight, I wasn't expecting a 3 hour net! Here's hoping I can stay awake to catch the next one ๐ #amateurradio #hamradio #prideradiogroup
Aluminum dual band J-pole (not a good photo)
The station grows! I've inherited a dual band J-Pole for 2m/70cm, 20ish feet of aluminum pole sections, and a bunch of good coax - signal reports ought to start improving once I get it set up ๐
