...ever play Amberland? That trilogy seems up your alley
A rookie in a clear plastic bag.
Today is a "lets get a brookie" kind of day.
Don't mind me, im just making a mess of your steam wishlist. :3

This game is incredible. 2D platformer with chunky graphics/hitboxes and a VERY zoomed in camera, which means you can't freely move and avoid everything (you can do it with mastery of the game's movement tho).
So much content with tons of secrets. Amazing!

Solving puzzles in this game itches a scratch that not many other games do. Itβs like turn based zelda dungeon puzzles, or something
Not great art or music, but it gets the job done. The well-designed levels and puzzles are the highlights
One that's truly special to me - Bladestorm!
Secretly last in Koei's Kessen series, trading Japanese history for European. The Hundred Years War, mangled Dynasty Warriors style. Pure dumb strategy-lite fun. Overhauled over the PS360 version.
Usually VERY overpriced. Often under Β£15 in sales though

It's almost both. Only 69 reviews (nice... Well actually no not nice).
Played through the entire thing in a week with my son in splitscreen. A very solid third person RTS with simple controls for the troops and a ratchet and clank x fortnite aesthetic.

78% positive. I don't disagree. This game is kinda a mess but it's really trying to do something unique. Weird but interesting combat system, utterly unique premise and theme with a story that GOES PLACES!
Akira Yamaoka on the OST too!
Check it out!
I hold up Alpha Protocol as a game I loved enough to get every achievement in, but I consider it a tough sell.
It's a game you need to learn how to manipulate into working. You learn which weapons and abilities are over powered. You learn when you can stealth and when not.
I'll also post Voidspire Tactics, every single one of Rad Codex's games are underrated in my opinion (save for Horizon's Gate) - this one is an extremely clever mix of CRPG exploration and console SRPG combat. I've never seen anyone else tackle the idea.
A lot of people knows about Cassete Beasts, BUT just a few bit know about its predecessor: Lenna's Inception. Has great music, 2 modes of playing (32-bit and 8-bit) and its cool af. The world is glitching, and the protag, Lenna, has to take the role of hero...

Relic Hunters Legend is probably the best Loot Shoot I have played since like D2 Witch Queen and is also a very personal game for me since it made me realise I was Trans.
You shoot fascist ducks (while also being a transwoman if you want)
SOLAS 128, very clever puzzle game that pushes the βlaser bounce off wallsβ so much further store.steampowered.com/app/1257850/.... See also the words of @botherer.bsky.social about it: buried-treasure.org/2021/02/sola...
Ghostlore, ARPG w/ monsters from SE Asian mythologies & an interesting glyph system for adding buffs to your character AND you can take resources you find to the hub to make real SE Asian dishes that I love in real life for extra bonuses.

Easy one for me: store.steampowered.com/app/298360/I... . One of the first really "Indie" games I played, but beyond that, it's a visual treat, with a hell of a story that goes so many places delving into just how freaky it really would be to be an Immortal. The game really just hit me right.
The way Dungeon Encounters trained me to recognize hexadecimal values as rest sites with amenities to rush to or fearsome enemies to be avoided at all costs kicked a bunch of doors open in my head store.steampowered.com/app/1451080/...
Less than 100 reviews (but admittedly 92% positive), False Skies is an absolutely excellent GBC-styled JRPG, roughly 50 hours to play through. And only $9. store.steampowered.com/app/1830040/...
Nights of Azure is a game that I love dearly, is a bit jank, and whose sequel fails to measure up to the first one and I would kill for a remake with smoother gameplay and story intact. It's rare to get a yuri action game, rarer still the blend of beautiful art and music and vampire guilt angst
Missionforce: Cyberstorm (1996)
Hex grid turn based squad mech strategy in the Metaltech: Earthsiege universe. Customize your mechs & juice up their genetically engineered bioderm pilots in the battle against the Cybrids
It's just over 80% positive but under 200 ratings

I put off playing Ultros far too long due to mixed reviews; when I finally did it became one of my favorite Metroidvanias ever. It casually introduces new mechanics in later areas that could stand alone as their own, entirely satisfying game

Drunken Robot Pornography: 488 user reviews, 66 metacritic, 6.8 user. goofy little fps arena shooter i quite enjoyed some twelve years ago. has a themesong that is the only reason i remember the developer's name (cut ever so slightly short to fit in the limit)

I'm kinda fucking shocked that this flew under the radar of sub 500 reviews but god Labyrinth of Galleria rules. A wild ass tale of love and heartbreak across time and dimensions, and also one of the most mechanically *cranked* games NiS has produced.

the protagonist of psycutlery in a charming diner staffed by robots.
the protagonist of psycutlery, riding a majestic unicorn over some enemies.
a character from psycutlery, an anthropomorphic cylcops spork in wizardly robes with a sweet mustache.
the logo for the game Psycutlery, which features its "mascot" & your in-game familiar, a floating spork with a single large eye under its tines.
Psycutlery! An extremely content-rich and charming platformer with tight controls and lovingly implemented gimmicks. It's a passion project and you can feel that oozing from every pixel. Did I mention it's free? It is! And you can dress up a sentient spork. It has less than 100 reviews on Steam!
I'm putting this here because I was genuinely shocked at how few reviews Bakeru has. It's an action platformer with presentation flair that rivals Nintendo, but my favorite part is that it's filled with an insane amount of Japanese cultural trivia.

Endless Dungeonβimo a great coop game dealt a very bad hand. A sequel to a spin-off, DotE, Endless Dungeon really took a big step away from the big focus on resource-management tactical-lite coop roguelike and towards direct action coop shmup, I understand what fans of the first felt was missing but
They've been getting Mario high for ages.
It's their turn now.
My problem was difficulty going through the roof.
Maybe I should start over, new character, pay better attention to my armor as I never nodded it much. Hope I don't simply get tossed into the meat grinder again.
You know if d2 is your thing...
How's the new stuff? Part of why I fell out is every time I tried again I got tossed into a mission that feels way over my head. They ease that up? Maybe im just doing something wrong.
