I see both countries as being studied in both methods of healing, but definitely having their leanings 😌

and elusia is no stranger to medicinal remedies. the antlers of their vervain deer have been traditionally processed into panaceas

they have healers, of course. queen eve is a high priest in unused code (fitting for the most pious country in the land, eh?), which means she would have had an S rank in staves. and celine herself gains staff use with her promotion class. chloe also gains healing, if she promotes to griffin knight

whereas a good section of firene characters are VERY health based. alfred and etie, celine, and especially the doctor in training jean

their focus on health is less magical and more physical. horticultural. and it makes sense, as firene's bountiful land allows a variety of plants to thrive

elusia's royal family (hyacinth, ivy, hortensia) are ALL staff users and healers

and with the country's studies on magic + their craftsmanship, advanced technologies and innovations, I wouldn't be surprised if they had a huge staff manufacturing industry

(elusia's S rank weapon IS a staff also)

I like to think that firene and elusia both have focuses in health & healing... BUT

firene leans more medicine/herbal based (celine and etie's personals specifically focusing on restorative *items*) while elusia leans towards staves and magic-based healing, as it IS the land where magic flourished

it informs that she's abrasive, not in a mean way, but in the sense that she pursues her interests and asserts her views without much clarification or thought, which can VERY much push on other peoples' boundaries

(which funnily, is why she clashes with goldmary bc they similarly bulldoze people)

no matter how mundane they might seem, they still tell you *something*

an example. like yes, etie pushes boucheron on how he's gotten so muscular. seems like a nothingburger. but when you put this behavior with her yunaka support, or her jade, panette, etc supports-

I will always stand on the assertion that engage supports give you small nuggets of characterization that come together for a more complete understanding of the character (which is why I believe ALL of a character's supports canonically happen and builds, even just slightly, towards their endings)

engage supports I love you

questioning the stress she faces as princess and whether or not she finds that life constraining also relates back to his OWN difficulties being the heir of his family, and how he ultimately pursued personal freedom over obligation

I thought it was a nice touch that spoke to his character too
