“Man up” was the terror of my life for years at a time, and especially for a young Black boy who wasn’t afraid of letting a few tears slip when his feelings were hurt.

Stop talking to AI like it’s your bestie or a fucking therapist, and go to therapy.
Stop using AI to editorialize and make “art,” because that shit is lazy, and you’re far more talented than a machine.
Nurture your self and what that self makes.
Chicago you know what to do (support your neighborhood indie bookstores today and every day)
No, you likely don’t.
I think I’m getting there, yeah. Got about 10-13 songs in almost ready states.
I should go shake @djbelly.bsky.social.
I’m home for the next 2 months. No gigs. I’m even home on my birthday.
What do I do. Fuck. I have to genuinely rest? Do I deserve all that?
Alright, I jumped.

I need a new spot for all this writing, instead of popping it onto Facebook for small joys. This is a far bigger joy, I'm hoping, as it's one of the LAST steps before I get the fuck out of there.
Been chasing that my entire life. I find relaxation in projects, so I lily pad between them. But it’s always work, so it’s never genuinely relaxation or rest.
Yeesh, it’s a little weird to put it into words, but yeah.
After this week's rolling headaches and all, I'm trying my best to do the same.
Holy hell, typography is a pain some days.
But that pain makes some very cool stuff. I have to go play video games to give my eyes a break…which is a wild realization.
the single most un-american and anti-constitutional statement ever uttered by an american president
FACTS.
I need to get back to doing this.
Chicago, baby.
I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.
Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO
Hope this FB data pull doesn’t take TOO long.
Please; if you have spare funds — especially Chicagoans + double that for Chicago musicians/artists — support The Chicago Reader.
I say this as a Chicagoan, a Chicago musician, and someone that just appreciates hyper-local arts journalism. It benefits us all.
Peace to @imleor.bsky.social.
MY FIRST BANDCAMP FRIDAY ON BLUESKY WHEEEEEEE!
So, your duty in all this:
1. Tap or click this link — agentmos.bandcamp.com/album/edward-2
2. Listen to the tunes. They’re good.
3. Like them? Buy the album. If not, thanks for listening.
4. If you do like them, and buy the album, tell someone.
Feels and looks like some big growth.
And yes, the fantastically large numbers would be nice.
But for someone that currently has no label, works a software job that supports his music habit, and does design + arrangement in-house — this feels fantastic.
Thanks for an astounding year, everyone.
Hello, Rap/Music blogs that follow me here! Thanks for coming along!
So, how do I get this album in your ears and/or onto your playlists for reviews? I’m absurdly concerned with being polite about shit, so I don’t wanna run rampant just tagging folks.
But if you see this…HOLLER.
I’ll send a copy.
Just wonderful.
Thanks so much, fam. Happy you enjoyed it enough to share it out, too.

Oh, hey. It’s me.
Mister “every pair of pants I wear must be cuffed above the ankle, like I just got done biking here.”
Fun stuff to talk about:
Next week I’m playing Subterranean with the legendary homies, Tomorrow Kings.
Shouts to @richjonesmusic.bsky.social and @showyousuck.bsky.social for having me out.
Excited as hell to play the new stuff for folks. Slide thru.
Tickets: www.seetickets.us/event/the-dr...
And failing all else that I cannot convey with all of my fancy rapper word things:
One of my favorite webcomic artists takes it down to brass tacks.
Very normal. Very. ✨
I sent a voice message back that was mostly just me saying “thank you” over and over again in different ways.
But it’s really fucking cool to have someone discover those little bits of filigree or flourish where they hadn’t quite expected them.
Humbling, more than anything.
I would argue that there’s no better thrill as a musician than someone discovering some weird, nuanced, “no one will notice this”-thing that you bury in your work.
This week, it was the 9th or 10th person sliding me an all-caps DM that read:
“HOLY SHIT, IT LOOPS *BACK* ON ITSELF!!!!!”
