Livonia City FC is joining the APSL.

Peak Open Cup Qualifying moment when in Fall 2019 they were drawn away against Louisiana Krewe FC and needed to travel 2k miles (including one guy who drove for fear of flying).

They lost, and Krewe didn’t even get to play in the tournament cause of COVID.

TheCup.us want to pay their volunteer US Open Cup reporters and you can help On April 1, 2025, TheCup.us will turn 22 years old. Back in 2003, the site was launched to fill a large void. That year, there was virtually no online information about the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.

Our goal is to pay each reporter a modest $25/game. We're REALLY close to that goal ($2,375 per year). Ultimately, we would like to get up to a more respectable $50/game ($4,750 per year). And that's just for the tournament proper.

Due to Hickory FC changing leagues, Cruizers FC will replace them as one of 4 automatic qualifiers from NPSL in @opencup.ussoccer.com. Cruizers FC was 8th in priority for automatic qualification, finishing as West Region Finalists last season.

Congratulations to the New England Patriots on winning the AFC Championship, aka the OTHER Lamar Hunt Trophy.

The last team to win the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup from Massachusetts was the New England Revolution in 2007, also owned by Robert Kraft.

That is correct! Only reason we didn’t mention that is we couldn’t find a good photo.
