Well he wasn't always right, then!
Quiet, slow programme-making from a quarter of a century ago - even the Janet Street Porter episode!
I love that gallery! They have some wonderful exhibitions, but also just the building, and the jazz centre in the basement!

UPDATE: Kennington Bowl has been saved! πΉ
Lambeth Council have voted to safeguard funds to restore βThe Kennyβ: Kennington Parkβs historic 1978 skate bowl with a rare modular βRadical Bankingβ system. More than 2.5k people signed a petition to save the venue and C20 backed the campaign last autumn.
You might be right - maybe safest to reply to an original post from them, though.
So slippy in the 80s, when they'd fling the fish shop water onto it.

Good news Friday: After being dismantled and placed into storage more than a decade ago, the Grade II listed Torsion Fountain (1959-63) by Czech artist Franta Belsky has finally returned to the South Bank!
Do you realise you're sending these replies to me, and I didn't write the review..?
But she's moulting! How do I tell her it's not lasting..?
First album of my own choice I ever 'had', on a C90 with The Luxury Gap (don't worry, I own both now). Absolute classic, though I'm sure they must be very sick of touring it by now.

You buy them with your fags.
Will the Martini Bar stay?!
As @jim.londoncentric.media says, very worrying times for print publications. Subscriptions will become even more key to them, though they're cheap so in turn these must rely on advertisers seeing the benefit.
Victorian or Edwardian two-storey corner building with arched ground floor windows, everything painted black except the inside of the upper floor window cavities which are orange.
Really? And why not.
The venue is still open, and much loved, but the band is just on a stage these days.
I'd enjoy so many gigs more if the band was on the wall, and I could actually see them.
Oh, not so, I've been to the Assembly (ex-Barfly), too - both to be supported.
I've only been to the George Tavern but I love it, so vote cast.
How I miss programmes like this www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m002rjn2 - or even AGD tripping around Italy with Giorgio Locatelli. The total dearth of factual programming now must have Reith whizzing in his grave.
We Are Making a Film About Mark Fisher everywhere in March - England, Scotland, Europe, tour of Italy, more. I'll be in Lisbon to intro it & perform a set of my ghost box stuff with JoΓ£o of Beautify Junkyards 26 March! Rio in Dalston, London, on 28th! Links: www.closeandremote.net/portfolio/we...

Now out, and a soaring listen - do yourself a favour.
You oink enough, people listen.
Such great news - well done, Hannah!
It's near St George in the East - Ratcliffe Highway, as was. Shadwell/Wapping.
We just stop dyeing our hair black 'cause the roots get too much (this happened to me aged 17, 'cause I'm blonde).
Ah okay, thank you - I work on the floor so I don't have access to that email, but I'll let someone know it was intended for me. Thanks for your help!
