Oh no, I'd forgotten they own Burleigh - my favourite operational pottery, which still hand-makes transferware crockery. Sounds like a partner and a way forward are being sought - fingers crossed for everyone involved.

Oh dear - where have all the crockery-buyers gone? IKEA, presumably.

As a former guide there, I'm curious!

Very good.

I hadn't realised till I read the Guardian interview with Louis Theroux that the 'dishonesty' of make-up is one of the reasons manosphere participants hate women. Great choice, Moz.

What's happened here? This was a really watchable show, whose heart seemed to be firmly in the right place.

I must say I quite like it - as well as, obviously, not instead of.

Quiet, slow programme-making from a quarter of a century ago - even the Janet Street Porter episode!

I love that gallery! They have some wonderful exhibitions, but also just the building, and the jazz centre in the basement!

UPDATE: Kennington Bowl has been saved! πŸ›Ή

Lambeth Council have voted to safeguard funds to restore β€˜The Kenny’: Kennington Park’s historic 1978 skate bowl with a rare modular β€˜Radical Banking’ system. More than 2.5k people signed a petition to save the venue and C20 backed the campaign last autumn.

You might be right - maybe safest to reply to an original post from them, though.

So slippy in the 80s, when they'd fling the fish shop water onto it.

Good news Friday: After being dismantled and placed into storage more than a decade ago, the Grade II listed Torsion Fountain (1959-63) by Czech artist Franta Belsky has finally returned to the South Bank!

Do you realise you're sending these replies to me, and I didn't write the review..?

First album of my own choice I ever 'had', on a C90 with The Luxury Gap (don't worry, I own both now). Absolute classic, though I'm sure they must be very sick of touring it by now.

As @jim.londoncentric.media says, very worrying times for print publications. Subscriptions will become even more key to them, though they're cheap so in turn these must rely on advertisers seeing the benefit.

Really? And why not.

The venue is still open, and much loved, but the band is just on a stage these days.

I'd enjoy so many gigs more if the band was on the wall, and I could actually see them.

Oh, not so, I've been to the Assembly (ex-Barfly), too - both to be supported.
