Our dear Bianca, sound asleep, one ear bent under. How I wish I could sleep without such a disturbance! My ears are wayyyy too sensitive. Watching our kitties resting or sleeping soothes the bubbling, seething unrest in the troubled soul. They center us every day. 🙏🏽
I've really been struggling of late myself. Sometimes, in my head, I think of your words to yourself (from Something In The Woods Loves You) and give myself permission to just cling to the Right Now even if it's just by my fingernails and front teeth. Sending love. ❤️🩹

A beautiful four year old calico cat on her last hour inside our shelter before she goes home.
Today during my volunteer shift at the shelter I visit, I heard a middle-aged couple fall in love with this beauty while I was spending time with another cat. Their tone of voices revealed that special moment of vulnerable yearning that you REALLY want to hear when it's adoption time. So sweet!

Comfy and irritated -- seems a regular reaction of my tortie. In and out of her rotation of reactions, along with patient tolerance and twice a day, gorgeous, silent beseeching looks while she haunts her "hunting grounds" for the always-late meal. ❣️
