Day 29: Remake

I've thought about this a lot, and while the real answer is "just finish FF7 Remake please and do not use AI", the kind of fantastical answer is I would love for them to finally take a shot at FF6 and actually flesh out the story to where it feels complete, graphics would be nice too

I don't even know if I'll like FF15 or not at this point, I suspect I will, but yeah that night sky, every one of those colors, everything about that image is entirely my ideal aesthetic, I'm really pumped to finally play this one some day!

Idk what they really mean with this one, I'm going to GUESS that they mean title screen that features the logo for the game, and interestingly my choice for that one is from the game I haven't even played yet - FFXV has an ENCHANTING night scene logo and title screen ❤️

Right? Like I'm sure it has value, especially if you're at like the exact right age for it to have been edgy, but to me it just really screwed the cap on tight for that whole "Cool movies about fighting aliens" that were popular in the 90s

Like Robocop 3 so far sounds like it'd be the best lol

Yeah I guess my thing with that is I'm already sensitive to violence so the satire wouldn't really land as instructional for me lol, it's the same with Starship Troopers, which I hate btw, the message is lost on me and what's left over is just a dumb mess

Yeah funny enough any interest I had in the movie was from all the toys and video games and stuff but I was warned that the movies were REALLY violent so I just kinda lost interest in the idea and never got it back

Same, it's a blessing and a curse I guess ha ha, like we have so much ACCESS now to everything but it sure is hard to enjoy it publicly anymore

Hard to say since there are definitely easier ways to get views than upload a near-60 hour video that covers a fairly niche game that people will likely play themselves rather than watch all of... but I guess *sigh* at least it's an actual thing? Just seems so joyless and broken to me though lol

Ha ha amazing, I have never covered it once! I did cover Hysteria by Muse in a band where I was the singer/guitarist, and one where I was the bassist (neither my choice), so I need to play drums for a band that wants to cover that song so the experience is complete!

Ha ha that reminds me that, while I have done many things on the scale of musically ridiculous, for the actual largest crowd I ever played for, we ended with the Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers theme song ❤️

I felt exactly this way today after seeing a video pop up on my Youtube recommended list for "Dragon Quest VII Reimagined 100% Longplay Walkthrough" that has "all the secrets" and is over 57 hours long. The game's only been out 22 days! I can't even render a 60 hour video that quickly lol

Three of them:

1. My great-grandfather was murdered by cops in the 1920s and would have lived if his accomplice, TV personality Lawrence Welk, had not betrayed him

2. I won a golden trophy on a TV game show about retro video games and no longer possess it

3. I have never seen the film Robocop

Wrexsoul, from FF6 Advance on the GBA, which is NOT the platform I originally faced him on, indeed I haven't even gotten to him yet on this version, but existing screenshots of this exact battle from the SNES version are hard to come by without looking gross. Also, while of course I eventually figured out X-Zone destroys him instantly in the SNES version, that doesn't work at all in the Advance and Pixel Remaster versions, so I feel like a lot of folks who were tipped off on the X-Zone strat probably got a nice shockaroo when they found out they had to beat this boss the intended way!

Day 26: Hardest Boss Battle

Ok so I have to interpret this as "What WAS the hardest boss for me At The Time", since they're not hard once you beat them once. Wrexsoul, the FIRST time I went up against him, took like an entire afternoon to beat, and for the PTSD alone, he gets my Personal Hardest
