Yup. I think that last scene is probably the best in the show’s entire run. And that’s a pretty high bar.

Against all odds, my favorite season!
Someone needs to explain to me how this didn't top the charts for like 14 straight weeks in 1986.
BECAUSE the Oscars are so wide open this year, I’m finding myself looking forward to the show more than I have in a long time. Wish this could be replicated every year. I’ll be rooting for Amy Madigan and enjoying the “anything could happen” vibes blanketing most of the rest of the categories.

For Collider, I reviewed Milla Jovovich's new revenger-thriller Protector, a by-the-book Taken clone until it attempts a wild end-game twist.

It just dawned on me that the Winter Olympics would be a great setting for a Knives Out mystery. Daniel Craig in fancy ski jackets? It sells itself. Someone tell @rianjohnson.bsky.social.
We've still got central characters surviving BRUTAL knife attacks, though, which I am not a fan of. 7 is maybe a little meaner than 6. It's still not nearly as mean as these things used to be. (Dating even up to Dewey's death in 5.)
I just showed my kid Desperado. I miss that Robert Rodriguez so much.
That would excite me the least of the three, but I'd definitely allow it!
If I can't get Carpenter and Russell on an Old Man Snake movie, can I at least get Rodriguez and Banderas on an Old Man Mariachi movie?!
I’m guessing the Scream 7 team gave Timothy Olyphant’s agent an obligatory phone call, and I’d pay good money to hear his live reaction to the offer.
The Excalibur 4K from Arrow is gorgeous and a reminder of how good movies used to look.
Imagine that Danny McBride wants to write a GI Joe script for you, and you're like, "Well, maybe. Let's see what Max Landis has to say first." Fucking Paramount.
I played it in fits and spurts for awhile — but never uninstalled it. Dove back in a few weeks ago, and it really clicked. Once you start unraveling some of the bigger mysteries, every revelation is a rush. And there are STILL some obtuse “side quest” mysteries that I’ve only half-solved.
After 83 “in game” days and not a single solitary hint from the Internet, I made it to room 46 in Blue Prince. Absolutely one of my favorite gaming experiences ever.
This letter written by Max Scherzer’s daughter, Brooke, to the Blue Jays, hoping they would re-sign her dad 😭😭😭😭😭
Amazing! Baseball is the best 🥺

For Mt. Lebanon Magazine, I talked to acclaimed opera librettist and director Crystal Manich about her new show, Time to Act, a decidedly modern opera about school shootings and their tragic fallout that opens this weekend at Pittsburgh Opera.

The amount of copies that the Criterion Collection sells of KPop Demon Hunters is gonna keep that place in business for another 10 years
It has arrived. Can’t wait to have some friends over and fire it up.
One step closer to my Fast Five Criterion release! (Also, I will buy both of these.)
My Connections streak just hit 30 days. So I got that going for me.

This is an incredible piece by @smencimer.bsky.social that really gets to the heart of—and the numbers that demonstrate—how terribly Trump is screwing over the communities that offered him the most support
Look, I get why there are reasons to be pessimestic, but, at least from the trailers, I honestly think The Mandalorian and Grogu looks like an absolute delight. Big "fun space adventure" vibes, which is exactly what I want Star Wars to be.
Skeleton should just be called “belly luge.”
