How lovely. I do like a rookery. Our cat wasnβt too keen though when one of them shat on her.

Wind has dropped here now but itβs still tipping it down. Itβs been wet all day and Iβve got soaked twice π€¨
I used to live under a rookery so I am alert to them π€£
Is that a rookery in the tree next to the church?
I donβt blame her. I do the same!
Mine wasnβt badly hurt by the bike fortunately but she definitely doesnβt want it to happen again. π
Morning Garry. Hope your day goes smoothly.
Mineβs always very gentle and a bit submissive. Sheβs slightly wary of children because a little boy once dropped his bike on her. π± π
They are beautiful. Youβve got so much blossom. Weβve got very little here so far. Too far north I think. It must be lovely to have so much colour around you.
Iβm planning on a tour of the charity shops tomorrow looking for jeans for my husband, but who knows what other treasures I might findβ¦
I love this thread.
My house is full of charity shop stuff but my most recent bargain is this quilt which I bought the other day. It needs a bit of sewing at one end ( which I can do in about ten minutes) so they were selling it for Β£3.
Couldnβt leave it there could I?
Thatβs amazing. I knew itβd look like a professional job.
We all need a friend like that.
I look forward to the photos.
Morning dog walk.
A small girl exhibits her fear of dogs by distancing herself warily as we pass. Mum & I explain that my dog is old & very gentle & encourage her to say hello. Dog and child part as friends.
In the sunshine the blossom on a flowering currant is bright against the grey stone wall.
Are they balaclavas on the headrests? That wasnβt the van of whoever was arrested was it?!?
Just looked at the details of this on Amazon. I like the look of it so Iβve added it to my list.
@nigelstewartbooks.bsky.social
It has arrived!
Thank you so much.
No! Donβt tell me youβre in a gloomy place?
Of course itβll work. I have every faith in your skills. π
Just one lone duck?!?!
But what a duck! Itβs a stunner. None of your common mallards today.
Morning dog walk.
The limited visibility of the grey, damp, misty morning shrinks our world.
The road sweeper creaks & groans as it moves along the kerb with efficient bluster. The driver kindly lifts the brush as he passes us.
Catkins on the Goat Willow are beginning to brave the dismal weather.
Iβm in Scotland π
Well that in itself tells a (profiteering) tale doesnβt it? IMHO
I wasnβt quite that politeβ¦
One of the garages in town has now put their diesel up to 169.9 π³
Good for the soul?
Where are you? It looks lovely.
Our neighbours puppy has a new squeaky toy and sounds as if heβs having a wonderful time with it ππ
A Place Called Winter
I often think it must be pretty terrifying to release something youβve sweated blood over into the world with no guarantee how it is going to be received.
