Le coup du savon je l'avais pas encore eu, je suis peut-être tombé sur la version écureuil de Jackass

Bon.
Un écureuil a bouffé le savon que j'avais laissé dehors, une musaraigne était en train de dormir sur le chauffe-eau, et les loirs se sont réveillés au grenier (je croyais les avoir virés cet automne, un nid m'a échappé).

Ça se voit que c'est le printemps.

Après, même sans souffrir de misophonie, les claviers mécaniques font *beaucoup* de bruit (sauf p-être ceux qui coûtent 500 euros) et celleux qui prétendent le contraire n'ont pas dû s'entendre taper, ça reste un vrai souci.

(Aucune nostalgie réelle de la machine à écrire, nonobstant, déjà parce que je n'ai pas connu cette époque, et ensuite parce que c'est pas un instrument hyper pratique non plus. Celle que j'ai gardé au grenier s'enraye très facilement).

Des fois je me demande si les claviers mécaniques ne sont pas plus confortables pour les chimpanzés qui, comme moi, tapent encore à deux doigts, puisqu'on ne glisse pas entre les touches.

Ah, ça je comprends. Moi j'ai l'habitude d'exploser les touches (la pression d'actuation sur une machine à écrire demande d'y aller comme un bourrin), donc ça ne me gpene pas. Quant au bruit...il y a une raison pour laquelle j'ai un clavier spécial "il y a du monde à la maison", c'est un vrai souci.

Cela me fait penser que j'ai failli, un temps, craquer pour une Freewrite Traveller, histoire de retrouver les sensations de la machine à écrire électronique. Mais bon, 600 euros + frais de port depuis les USA, ça fait cher la nostalgie, quand même.

(Dis comme ça, ça fait récit de vie hipster à la con mais c'est 100% vrai et ça me condamne à taper à deux doigts pour le restant de ma vie, mon cerveau est juste câblé ainsi, désormais).

J'ai un clavier mécanique maintenant.

Avantage : ça fait clic clac.

Larian may assume that Faerun is just generic fantasy thatr anyone can pick up easily but it's not, it's DnD fantasy, and I have no goddamn idea what a mindflayer or a gith are, or why we are now in actual hell, thank you very much. Please, Lae'zel, for once, I need a bigger exposition dump.

Yeah and that's also, imo, because the game assumes as a default that you are familiar with DnD and the Forgotten Realms setting. Like, someone going in totally blind will spend the entire intro going ???? at Proper Nouns and concepts, and it only goes downhill from there.

To me it's the big difference with, say, Dragon Age Origins, which features more than a few similar characters. Zevran is kind of a proto-Astarion, but he is much less insufferable because he's not here to flatter the player. He has his own agenda, and the romance doesn't feel like a power fantasy.

It's my issue with, say, Halsin. Like yes, he's a nice big bulky man rep, it's neat to have massive elves and druids who aren't spindly dryads, and it's cool that he's so sex-positive, but also: "wow, bear sex" was literal marketing material for BG3, and again, I feel manipulated.

The whole cast is a bit like Lucanis in Dragon Age Veilguard: I like a good tumblr blorbo from time to time, but when it becomes their sole reason for existing, I can't help but feel manipulated (and I don't thing Veilguard does this on purpose, while BG3 very much feels like it's the case).

Yeah, this is what made me drop the game. The companions seem tailor-focused for a very specific audience, but not in the sense of Bioware characters who are by and large made for Bioware players. They feel made for what Larian assumes will be the exact subset of DnD players interested in BG3.

He was basically made in a laboratory for a specific type of player (that I'm adjacent to, to boot!) to fawn over him, and it's so in-your-face (like Mass Effect Miranda's costume design in-your-face) that it loops back to being absolutely insufferable.

I feel like his writing is very manipulative -- I mean, it feels weird to say this because all video game companions *are*, they're not real people, they're here to elicit specific reactions from the player, but Astarion is really really unsubtle with this.

Même les méchants sortis du tréfond de l'âge industriel ont des plans somme toute parfaitement minables. Ils ont *la flemme*.

En vrai quelque part, c'est un peu la méthode d'écriture des "Meurtres à..." de France 3.

Ce qui est marrant c'est que ce matin j'ai zappé (ça se dit à la radio ?) sur Europe 1 et il y avait exactement ce débat-là, avec un chroniqueur qui persistait à ne pas comprendre pourquoi zigouiller le chef ne suffisait pas.
