You're probably right. They were using Dragon software as an option for transcriptions but correcting that was messier than just typing it.

You could save the Word file as a Web Page, then Edit it in Notepad. But that gives you all the HTML, not just the links and formatting. Probably not what you want.
I used to love WordPerfect.
Word has the same thing. Click the icon that looks like a paragraph symbol used in editing.
