I thought about a blog actually, but I'm simply too busy right now to take on such an undertaking for such a big project 🫠

I really tried to go all in on the details, but also put in as many small nuggets as I could (e.g. not dataviz, but you can actually hover each of the bird illustrations at the top and see their names appear ;) )

And if you can't get enough of birds + dataviz, then this seems very interesting!

Full of custom, interactive visuals (a giant nest, a giant egg, the US made up of eggs!) to explore people’s experience with birds. It’s full of insights, funny outliers and visuals you can lose yourself in trying to explore all that the vast amount of bird data has to offer.

After several months of analysis, design, drawing, writing, and coding (and a little bit of birdwatching), it turned into a fully dataviz-driven, vibrant, whimsical and fun interactive story for birders and anybody even remotely interested in birds 🦉
