#Elio carries on Pixar’s tradition of flooding its screens with tears. The studio’s staple talent for animation and brave new worlds remains with an emotional tale of parenthood and belonging. The film doesn’t always stick the landing but is fun for the whole family for sure.
#EchoValley premiere at the BFI Southbank thanks to Apple TV
#EchoValley sometimes has disjointed editing but it’s a drama with powerhouse performances from the entirety of its leading cast. Julianne Moore and Sydney Sweeney are a devastating mother/daughter combo and together bring a familial drama that keeps you on your toes.
RPatz and RBatz carry you through what is an imperfect but throughly entertaining dark comedy. The script is at its best when it’s tackling the value of life and colonialism’s utter disregard for it. Poor pacing aside, #Mickey17 is not Bong Joon Ho’s best but still worthwhile.

While the titular colours within don’t really have much of an effect on the actual story, #TheColorsWithin is a sonically soul warming feel good film in the most Japanese way possible. Through the power of friendship and song you’re taken through an eclectic life journey.
#TheSubstance’s more grounded and jaded sibling features a phenomenal lead performance from its star Pamela Anderson. While #TheLastShowgirl’s script isn’t always perfect it tells an important and sorrowful story about a dying art form. A poignant and unforgettable swan song.

#WolfManMovie would have been impressive if it had been Whanell’s first film, but after a stellar track record so far it’s a let down in comparison. It’s not without its attempts at originality though and while it’s slow, it does build character and has a very solid ending.
#ARealPain is a very honest drama about mental health and grief, it’s well acted and competently made. Eisenberg brings his audience along for a very immersive tour of Poland but forces them to sit through agonising moments fuelled by Culkin’s intolerable character.

All I have to say is Wow.
#CarryOn is a masterclass in thrills and suspense. Despite some cliché character development and over the top moments, Collet-Serra shows audiences what he’s good at, making your heart pump FAST. Egerton gives a great performance and Bateman is glorious as evil Marty Byrde/ Michael Bluth.
