The violent, traumatic harm this federal occupation caused vulnerable students - international students on visas, DACA recipients, citizens of color - cannot be overstated.

Another reminder. Anne Frank and her sister Margot didn't die in gas chambers. They died of Typhus due to overcrowding at Bergen-Belsen women's camp, which also experienced outbreaks of tuberculosis and typhoid fever.

Note that Castañeda Mondragón was beaten and taken to a detention facility the day after ICE agent Jonathan Ross killed Renée Good and Border Patrol harassed kids at my neighborhood public school, then detained the teachers who intervened to protect them.
My friend lives in this building and said it was truly terrifying. The whole building woke up to their building being broken into by federal agents all to grab some guy who’s posted about being anti facist.
Do not look away.
Federal agents violated the 4th Amendment this morning.

I’ve had several raw, intimate conversations w/ neighbors I’ve known for fewer than 10 weeks, neighbors I know only by their first names (if that) in most cases.
We do fear being killed for our willingness to protect our neighbors and our collective rights. And despite those fears, we continue.
I'm so mad that we have to pass the hat around to pay landlords so our neighbors aren't forever screwed

BREAKING: The Virginia Senate passes a constitutional amendment to automatically restore voting rights to people with felony convictions.
The measure now heads to voters. If approved, thousands of Virginians — particularly Black residents — would no longer be shut out of the democratic process.
