Yeah, I do try to see it as a clumsy compliment, like, hey, this story has withstood the test of time or something, but mostly itβs just rude!

Iβm so sorry for your loss.
Brilliant!!
EXACTLY! And the fic was form 2008, which is just....no.
I'm going to think this EVERY time I get one of these comments from now!!
I got another "fic is older than me" comment. Please stop. I beg you.
That tracks. I read some of the books way back in the day, but my memory of them is fuzzy
There is A LOT going on in the first episode of Scarpetta
That is INTENSELY creepy
The city has made some tiny baby steps toward better accessibility in recent years. Here's a list of accessible stations: www.mta.info/accessibilit... But there is always the possibility that elevators will be out of service on any given day. I love NYC, but nothing about it is easy or convenient
Oh I miss our pink drinks! That one looks beautiful. Enjoy, my dear!! <3
I should also note that elections are handled by states, so the exact procedures for how and where you register, how long before the next election you need to have been registered, etc all vary by state.
Sorry if that was more than you wanted to know! Everyone has to register to vote, and that's where they get your signature for the book you sign on election day
...white and conservative. They only want people like them to vote.
...disproportionately affect minority, poor, elderly, and student voters. But maybe the biggest issue with them is that they fix a problem that doesn't actually exist. Voter fraud at the polls is rarer than being struck by lightning. There's a reason the people pushing these laws are always...
...there are actually significant portions of our population that don't have photo IDs that would be sufficient for voting. I know some countries have national ID cards. We don't. Most people use a driver's license, which is totally optional to have, as photo ID. Data shows that voter ID laws...
It's based on our signature. Like you, we sign a book. The reason voter ID laws are contentious is because they're part of a long, ugly history to disenfranchise Black, Native, and other voters, including tactics like literacy tests and polls taxes. While it seems like everyone would have ID...
Hahaha, Ghost just wanted her veggies! I love what delightful weirdos cats are. β€οΈ
Apparently, Gabby thinks celery smells very tasty, because she's trying to chew on my fingers and that's what I've been chopping. #catsareweird
That is a good plan! I was going to rewatch S1 before I started but then I saw it on Hulu and I could not wait....
SAME. It's not an easy show, and I thought I'd ration the eps, but I NEEDED to watch them all.
I find it a really compelling show, and I was def having Secret Service agent/President feels. There are some LOOKS between Sterling K. Brown and James Marsden. But the one ep that truly elevates it is S1, ep 7, one of the most unforgettable, shattering episodes of TV that I've ever seen.
Wow, the first 3 eps of Paradise S2 coming in hot. It's going to be a long wait for next Monday.
So excited!!!!!
I, for one, welcome our new generation of Fire Horse sisters. May you burn it all down far more than my generation ever managed to do.

Continued my friend's birthday weekend celebrations by seeing Hamnet today. Both amazing and heartbreaking. Do recommend.
