Our team at @democracyforward.org is grateful to represent clinicians in matters defending people, communities, & science and personally I’m grateful to have represented @acog_org for more than a decade now.
The record now shows two things: the seriousness of the violations and the power of the courts to stop them.
We’ll continue to use every legal tool available to ensure that the Constitution applies to everyone and that the government is held accountable when it breaks the law.
BREAKING: Our team won a court order BLOCKING the Trump-Vance admin’s attempt to fast-track deportations and dismantle due process for non-citizens, including those seeking asylum.
This ruling stops the admin from playing games with our immigration system and peoples lives.

This Women’s History Month and on International Women’s Day, we celebrate some of the legal pioneers who broke barriers, challenged exclusion, and re-shaped our justice system to ensure all women have a voice under the law.
Their work built the path – now we must keep pushing forward.

A judge has confirmed what we have long known: Kari Lake took over not to lead the U.S. Agency for Global Media, but to dismantle it. This is a powerful affirmation of the rule of law, as threats to democracy loom not only around the world but here at home.

If Trump is serious about ending Noem’s tenure, DHS should immediately reverse her decisions to:
**put ICE in schools, hospitals, and houses of worship
**make it harder for people fleeing autocratic nations to seek asylum
**deprive people of due process
Until then, we will still be in court.

If the White House is embarrassed about the headlines yesterday of its retreat, it will be *really* embarrassed when it loses across the board on appeal. The First Amendment (among others) prohibits targeting these firms. And the President should quit before he gets further behind.

Today’s ruling makes it clear that Sec. Noem cannot silence elected officials who are doing their jobs.
The court once again affirmed that oversight is not optional, transparency is not negotiable, and human rights do not disappear at the doors of a detention center.
These types of serious questions is precisely why our Constitution required Congress to authorize war. This President has abused his power beyond a breaking point.
There is a reason multiple presidents have been focused on addressing the threats posed by Iran without starting a war. The risk to both American and non-American lives is urgent, especially when there is no clear end or exit to this conflict President Trump chose to start.
