full clarification this is about MODDERS using AI. the games I mentioned do not use AI. they are examples of games that are plagued with AI mods
oh god yeah no vintage story is great, I am talking exclusively about modders yeah lol
LMAO EXACTLY
oh BIG same. my favorite part is when they're closed source too, as if to hide their shame. little do they know it does not make it better
I've figured out that if the cover for a game mod (vintage story, hytale, ARK) uses AI art, AI was used to code the mod
so far my guess rate has been 100% bc each one has been a buggy mess/caused crashes
tl;dr: no you are not the exception, you don't know how to "use AI correctly". stop
one of my favorite roguelikes in EA is finally going into 1.0
I don't even know how you describe Sol Cesto. it's like no other roguelike I've ever played (and it's my favorite genre so I've played a LOT). give it a look

(and it turns out I'm also supporting a fellow TC resident!! godspeed and stay safe)
as a dyscalculic software developer adult who fell into the industry partially because I loved Cyberchase, I have never felt so called out in my life. I bought 2
my sister sent me a bunch of screenshots and in literally every single one was a bookmark of this website, so I made her send it to me
please enjoy

only like 60% of their goal with 15 days left :C
this game looks incredibly promising and they're running a kickstarter about it, you should check it out

OH SHIT CONGRATS
we should all listen to him
happy to helpl!! feel free to ping me any time if you have questions, I'm happy to give people Linux Solutions That Actually Work
if you do give linux a shot, my tl;dr would be to pick something Arch based because it has Valve money behind it. Garuda (with the COSMIC DE has worked very well for us) is generally what I recommend to people. Garuda comes packaged with a LOT of compatibility tools b/c it's designed for gaming
okay yeah I'm seeing several posts of people having success with cs5! I would def try it out in a dual boot, but what I'm seeing looks like the workarounds required aren't big. may not even be necessary anymore bc this post is using ubuntu-based distro from 2011 lol

you're sooooomewhat in luck bc older versions of PS definitely play nicer than newer ones, I've heard of people being able to get older PS to actually run in WINE without major issues. the main progress being made rn is with current creative cloud. out of curiosity which version do you use?
I'll be real I think Adobe support is doomed to be jank unless Adobe magically becomes un-evil and graces us with native linux. Our best bet rn is Winboat getting GPU acceleration -- Winboat being something between WINE and a full VM, it uses Docker -- but I think they're a while off from that yet
yeahhhh the tl;dr is that you can *technically* get adobe software working by using one of several VM solutions, but that's essentially just making linux emulate windows. running through a compatibility layer like WINE/Proton is just straight up not possible for adobe rn
Fix Clip Studio Paint crash with Windows 10 compatibility mode Open Ignacy KuchciΕski requested to merge ignapk/wine:csp-win10-minimal into master 8 months ago Overview Commits Pipelines Changes All threads resolved! This fixes the crash when launching ClipStudioPaint.exe with Windows 10 compatiblity mode by adding the minimum required windows.ui and windows.storage definitions and stubs. Wine-Bug: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58254
Shout out to this dude who seems to be systematically going through all the reported bugs for CSP WINE and fixing them
Even with that pending, I know that a Lot of people aren't comfortable/straight up can't make the switch unless there's genuine native software, so definitely follow the link below to let CSP know your feelings on the subject
Yeah there's a few pending merges for CSP and Photoshop that I'll probably wait on before making my guide. We're on the cusp of some serious progress with WINE support
requiem for vanished birdsong
When I was reading the relevant reddit thread it looks, hilariously, like cracked versions can work well but trying to get it to recognize a legitimate version has a lot of weird stumbling blocks lol
Wish I was more of a low level programmer so I could contribute to this
Oh shit they're actually making serious strides towards the software holy grail of photoshop on linux, this is like "as of this month" type news
gitlab.winehq.org/wine/wine/-/...
I'll probably include something on QEMU/KVM support but I'd rather Not have to subject people to that
I wish I had 100k to give to Winboat to make GPU passthrough because then every problem would be solved except for the nichest of draconian anti-VM anticheat
