A 5:30am start and 25 km in the peaks surrounded by curlews, lapwings, red grouse, skylarks, willow warblers, with 4 cuckoos, 2 wheatear, TWO ring ouzel plus a pied flycatcher and a tree pipit. Days rarely are better than this.
