unpopular take:
standing for Blackness is standing for other marginalized groups, whether intentional or not.
in this system, our racial caste sits at the bottom. other types of marginalization is modeled after ours. to be βtreated as the niggerβ is the standard of disregard, exploitation & harm.
Itβs almost as if black people have to stand up for every other marginalized group, but the energy is never reciprocated to the same extent.
The fact that men would rather spend money on ugmugness than on women is why their asses so lonely now.
*was sufficient
thatβs exactly what my grandmother told me when i asked her how it worked. spider silk to dress the wound and snake skin for skin regeneration. really incredible stuff
My great grandmother used to talk about this specific medicine allllll of the time. The only spiders with webs thick enough now are funnel spiders and they are stupid venomous.
Even the spider webs were different back in the day π²
Something that pains me is that so much has been ruined with pesticides and pollution that foraging and relying on the earth isnβt the same anymore
a****n.
this rant was abt them. i put the $30 credit they gave me towards this book (it was $35) b4 i canceled the subscription

my grandmother healed my uncleβs nearly severed toe with spider silk and snake skin. we really are incredible people

i learned this YEARS ago from an elder and that's how i felt...esp bc i couldn't see the how
she said back then spider webs were thicker & more plentiful, so you didn't need to find a million to make the dressing; one or two were sufficient
soon as i finish this last work email, i'm logging off for the day & reading til i fall into a nap
GREAT MINDS!!! ππΎππΎ
Variety quote card featuring Ryan Coogler in a tuxedo. Quote reads: 'I know the truth. That statistic is a lie about the reality. I know there have been Black directors who changed the arc of global cinema β they changed my life and got me into this business that gives me purpose. I'd rather celebrate what they did, against all odds, than lament what award they didn't get.' Caption identifies Coogler as only the seventh Black director ever nominated for an Oscar.

Drone strikes in Haiti.
Drone strikes. In Haiti.
By private contractors.
Theyβre killing Haitians for private profit & the world barely pays attention.
The story of Haiti is the story America likes to tell about itself. Except there, itβs true. And the west has never stopped punishing Haiti for it
Also, why doesnβt the article name the leader in the title? When have you ever seen anything publicized about a movement with a leader and NOT name the leader specific? Especially in pro-corporation country, wouldnβt they NAME their enemy?
Like come on now.
& this is my problem w/how target is being talked about. bc it was already a thing b4 the Respectable Blacksβ’οΈ decided to jump on board for ONE day...then the narrative changed when progressives (who started it) clowned them
...but it's that's way any change/movement has gone in this country
And the article is behind a paywall? This looks like some COINTELPRO shit trying to tell us they called it off, especially because the boycott arose organically, without a leader, until Jamal Bryant called himself leading the βchargeβ
This is Freyβs entire plan to deal with the massive housing crisis his veto is about to cause.
you know ball!

There is no good generative AI company
these suggestions of reparations while descendants of enslaved people ARE STILL FUCKING WAITING FOR THEIRS is pissing me off & will every time
After reading about how Anthorpic pillaged millions of books to build its model, I realized this level of carelessness surpasses merely being wrong and makes a beeline for evil with the brakes off.
