That's interesting. I have seriously sprained joints multiple times. It's always felt like the tendons in my ankles were too long - 'stretchy' works. I wouldn't say that I'm double-jointed - just that my ankles and wrists are not stable joints. Hanging from bars without moving bar to bar is painful!

Comorbidity is right. I also have fibromyalgia and I'm b1p0lar. I don't like revealing these things in public to make keyword searches easy for ppl. ๐Ÿ™‚

Those four things are related but we don't know why yet. You seem pretty educated on this subject, maybe you know. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ Fibro is part of my disability.

Legal research involves not just looking something up but looking up every other relevant case in history and determining what is useful to reference and what is not. ๐ŸคฏAI just doesn't seem to grasp the concept well and returns things like a case reference but used the body of text from another case.

I've listened to a phone tree with an AI generated voice that sounded like human conversation complete with small talk.

With an AI generated voice that sounds like human conversation, w/a system that doesn't make mistakes and knows the correct answer instantly, I can replace everyone in a CC. ๐Ÿ˜ž

Well. That is food for thought.

I undoubtedly have autism and was diagnosed by a professional but I guess called high functioning because I wasn't diagnosed until I turned 50. The concept of "masks" fits me like a handmade glove.

I like "AuDHD but not knows what that is, so I have to explain it.

"they know is morally wrong, illegal, unconstitutional"

There was a lot of this contemplation among troops in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan too.

Vietnam was simply called a conflict for about a decade before LBJ declared war. Calling soldiers in Vietnam, disgruntled, would be putting it lightly.

Ahh. I rarely point this out because it just seems like a cop out to me, but I have high-functioning autism, so I sometimes "don't get the joke". ๐Ÿ˜†

A personal goal of mine is to learn something new every day. Thanks for showing me that something new! I'll use it next time.

Legal research is the best example I can think of for mistakes and made up info. Most people don't understand what is entailed and how it kind of requires a human. It should eventually be able to work but at this point, it's literally making shit up. ๐Ÿ˜†

doctors to rely on it rather than doing the first evaluation of the image thoroughly, as it should currently be done. Who knows though, maybe that would be better and more efficient. Time will tell.

It seems like a middle man right? It would lead to more throughout observations and ultimately better healthcare for patients. In this case additional work and expense justifies the end goal. Most companies are going to be looking to eliminate jobs, this wouldn't.

My fear is that it will allow 1/

The "permission" mention comes from your sentence, "I'll let you..."and was meant as a harmless poke at the word "let". I didn't mean any offense by it.

I appreciate the attempt at showing me but I don't seem to have that on my screen. Am I doing something wrong?

You can't do anything about Republicans and you can assume they will always vote against your interests so it doesn't matter which Republicans supported it. You can control only how the Democrats voted and why some people seem to be more interested in how Dems voted than Republicans.

I'm not going to look all of those up, but Angus King voted NO so the rest are suspect. I'm guessing the vote to bring the issue to the floor is being confused with the vote for confirm. It's not uncommon for ppl to vote to allow someone to bring a debate to the floor even if they vote against.

I'm on a PC and respond to comments as they flow into my inbox. I'm not sure what you mean by + but I'd happily use Bluesky in a way that is better for others to read if I understood you.

Thanks for your *permission* though. ๐Ÿ™‚โœŒ๏ธ

Well, that's another part of AI and if the promise of AI comes true, there simply won't be enough hours of work to be done by humans for our working population w/o uni income. There will be fewer 40hr/wk jobs and people can't afford to take paycuts and human labor would become even more expensive. ๐Ÿค”

but sometimes absolutely necessary. Democrat voters overwhelmingly support uni-HC but the party is opposed, how do you reconcile that?

I don't know but I'm beyond pissed at the Dem party and will not just blindly vote for their candidates just because they aren't Republicans. 3/3

help? Absolutely not. Does losing an election because they lost votes help? Yes. Is it shooting yourself in the foot? Yes.

Have you ever taken a pay cut for a job with more opportunities? It's like shooting yourself in the foot with the hope of a better reality. It's not ideal, 2/

The only thing keeping the Democratic party alive are people like GW Bush and Trump. As long as we continue with the status quo, the Democrats will never change. They won't stop selling bombs that kill babies. They won't stop supporting war. They won't stop opposing HC.

Does voting for a nobody 1/

Our two party system is a symbiotic relationship not an oppositional government.

Some form of universal healthcare is overwhelmingly supported by Dem voters but the Dem establishment firmly opposes it. They don't give a shit about you, they care about keeping the two party engine going.

That's a trap that Dems sit in and allow them do to nothing but be slightly better than Republicans. I know this trap b/c I've been caught in it for more than 30 yrs and after this past election, I'm fed up. I will not vote for candidates who support Israel, the war in Iran, or oppose h/c.

"Democrats are the hard pill we swallow until we get rid of the republicans or overthrow the current system."

I'm 51. Good luck with that. This is a lie we tell ourselves at every election. Dems are not a stop-gap, they are simply less bad than the worst, and the estab. is opposed to change.

Legal research is years off, if ever. No one suggested this would be a task suited for legal research except people who have no idea what legal research is.

My Dr uses AI to double-check the assessment of an image and has the Dr look again if they missed something. It's more like malpractice ins.๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

You mean facts? I know, those are in the way when all you want to do is exaggerate propaganda. Which, I'm fine with when it's even remotely believable. This is like saying Trump is going to eat the moon.

So what? Thanks for admitting that your entire discussion here is complete nonsense.

Agreed and that's not an exaggeration; some military leaders have been telling soldiers that Trump is waging war in Iran to bring about Armageddon and usher in the 2nd coming of Christ. A DOD pastor gave a prayer service telling soldiers they are not responsible for deaths, Jesus wanted it. ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿคฌ

My Drs office just explained their radiology policy. They are using AI to double-check the Drs assessment of an image. They don't tell the Dr they are wrong, they point out what the Dr might have missed so the Dr can go back and look again. It protects from malpractice, not create productivity.

The last job I worked at had a call center. I eliminated a 4-person team there with a macro; with AI, I'm sure they will eliminate it entirely and will be a better product for it. It's not ideal for the human, but it is how our economy works.

The labor will eventually move to another sector.

Here's the thing, when you decide to say, not automate a shipyard or ignore some other technological advancement to save a human job, YOU pay for that in increased costs for whatever goods and services you buy. Those companies will eventually fold under more cost effective competition. 1/

11.03.2026 15:04 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

In my last job we had a 120 person call center. I eliminated a 4-person team in that CC by writing a pretty small macro. With AI, I could have eliminated the entire CC. Elimination of the cost of training, salaries, benefits, office space, and so on would have saved the company millions of dollars.

I just got this explanation from my Dr last week. Their radiology has started using AI, not to make assessments but to double check the assessment the Dr already made to see if they've missed anything and then the Dr reviews it again. It also helps eliminate Dr mistakes on paperwork. That seems fine
